Aline is located in Alfalfa County, named after Alfalfa Bill Murray, President of the Constitutional Convention--later Governor of the State. The county is rectangular in shape, including 867 square miles, or 565,760 acres. Alfalfa County today is crisscrossed by state and federal highways, quality telephone service, satellite TV, computers and internet ommunications, and dependable electrical power.
The Alfalfa County Historical Museum is located in Cherokee, the county seat. Other sites of interest are scattered thoughout the county.
